
On September 01, 2026, at the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the issue of confirming the ability of three candidates for the position of a judge to administer justice in the general court of appeal was considered.
Based on the results of the session, Olena Fedorova has confirmed her ability to administer justice at the Kharkiv Court of Appeal.
At the Kyiv Court of Appeal, Oleh Soloviov failed to confirm his ability to administer justice. Regarding Yurii Pasternak, a break has been announced in the consideration of the issue.
Please be reminded that 62 candidates submitted applications to participate in the competition for 47 vacant positions of judges in the Kharkiv Court of Appeal. In total, interviews were conducted with 53 candidates: 37 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 13 candidates failed to confirm it, and 3 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. Four candidates withdrew from the competition. The qualification assessment has been suspended for 1 candidate.
93 candidates submitted applications to participate in the competition for 45 vacant positions of judges at the Kyiv Court of Appeal. In total, interviews were conducted with 70 candidates for the Kyiv Court of Appeal: 32 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice, 29 candidates failed to confirm it, and 9 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission. Four candidates withdrew from the competition.
